Thursday 9th February – bike **** Around Felixstowe including lunch at Trimley churches – sunny with a light breeze.

After yesterday’s epic two-hour frosty sunrise session, I stayed in bed today but still managed a few shots of the red sky out of the back bedroom window. Morning at home, I did my exercises while Mag painted the porch, then I packed a picnic and we headed out on our bikes at one going to Abbey Grove leading to The Grove with loads squirrels whizzing about. Out onto Gulpher turning left to Candlet Lane over the fields and through the little wood near the A 14 slip road to the twin churches at Trimley where the churchyard is still full of snowdrops with loads of daffs still in bud :) We enjoyed our picnic in the sunshine before continuing our ride over the huge green footbridge and we decided to take a chance on the long footpath through the trees which thankfully for the most part really dry, making it ideal for cycling spotting a dozen deer including the white one in the three tree field. Past the huge Uniserve warehouse stopping at Morrisons for milk and home to make a hot water bottle and have a cuppa and cake:)
